Spring in Jackson Hole is keeping us on our toes this week. The first half of May gave us some drying and warming, but Mother Nature has another twist in store. An extended spell of cool, rainy weather is on the way just as we kick off our mowing season. We’re excited to start mowing, but we’ll be balancing that excitement with the need to avoid damaging soft, wet ground.

Weekly Terrain Conditions

This week’s forecast is dominated by a prolonged wet pattern. After a relatively dry and mild Monday, a series of rain showers (and even a few thunderstorms) will move through from Tuesday onward. Daytime temperatures will drop well below normal by midweek, and frequent precipitation means our work sites will stay on the soggy side. Our clay-rich soils will quickly become waterlogged with multiple days of rain, so even brief dry breaks might not firm things up much.

Impacts to our schedule: Given these wet and soft conditions, our mowing schedule may slow down or see delays this first week. If you’re on the schedule, we kindly ask for your patience as we navigate weather-related challenges and soft turf. We’ll aim for any dry windows (likely early in the week) to get mowing done, and will resume as soon as ground conditions allow after each rain. Protecting your lawn from ruts and damage is our top priority, so we’ll be moving carefully and selectively until the ground firms up.

🌦️ Saturday: Cool and unsettled with spotty showers (minimal rainfall). High 48°F, low 39°F. Soil stays soft—careful mowing needed.

⛈️ Sunday: Rain by midday, possible thunderstorms (~0.3" rain). High 48°F, low 33°F. Soggy conditions to finish the week.

ready when you are.
