This week starts on a cool note with a frosty Monday, but each day brings more warmth and sun, leading to pleasant, summery weather by the weekend. Outdoor plans and landscaping projects can move forward with minimal interruption as the forecast calls for mostly dry and friendly skies, aside from a brief chance of a thunderstorm Tuesday and a stray shower late in the week.

Weekly Terrain Conditions

Early-week terrain conditions are dry and solid thanks to the cold, clear start, and a light frost may be visible on lawns and garden beds Monday morning. Any quick rain on Tuesday will be light and short-lived, so soils will stay firm and workable all week. By the weekend, ground conditions remain stable and dry, making it easy to manage heavy equipment, mowing, and any ongoing outdoor work. Remember, rainfall this week won’t be enough to keep plants healthy—irrigation remains important, especially after Monday’s frost.

Weekly Temperature Swing

Temperatures begin unseasonably cool (high of 63°F and a low near 32°F Monday), then steadily climb: highs reach the 70s by midweek and rise to the mid-70s Friday through Sunday. Overnight lows follow, moving from freezing to the upper 40s and low 50s, making for a marked transition from chilly mornings to comfortable summer evenings by week’s end.

Precipitation Outlook

Rain is scarce this week. Aside from a slim chance of showers or a passing thunderstorm Tuesday and a possible sprinkle Saturday, conditions remain largely dry. Showers will be brief and patchy if they occur, so most areas will see little to no measurable rain.

Cloud Cover and Wind Trends

Cloud cover varies, starting with partly cloudy skies Monday and Tuesday (especially if a storm builds Tuesday afternoon), then clearing to mostly sunny midweek. By Saturday, clouds increase briefly, then give way to sunshine again on Sunday. Winds are generally light, picking up to a mild breeze Thursday through Saturday but never strong enough to disrupt outdoor activities.
