A classic July pattern sets up this week in Jackson Hole, with early summer warmth and sun leading into a more unsettled holiday weekend. Most of the week is dry and comfortable, but rain returns for the Fourth and beyond.

Weekly Terrain Conditions

Dry, sunny days at the start keep soils firm and ideal for landscaping or projects. As rain chances increase later in the week, expect the surface to become damp or briefly muddy, especially after passing showers Friday through Sunday, but not long enough to halt most work.

Weekly Temperature Swing

Afternoon highs climb from the low 70s to near 80°F by July 3–4, while overnight lows trend from the upper 40s to the mid-50s. The warmest days are expected around Thursday and Friday, with a mild dip possible if weekend showers linger.

Precipitation Outlook

The first half of the week is mostly dry. Rain and thunderstorm chances ramp up from Thursday, peaking Friday through Sunday with the wettest period likely around the Fourth. Rain totals of 0.3–0.4" are possible but will arrive in scattered bursts.

Cloud Cover and Wind Trends

Early in the week, expect mostly clear to partly cloudy skies and light winds. Clouds increase Thursday, becoming more frequent for the weekend as showers develop. Winds stay light overall—rarely exceeding 6 mph except for brief gusts near passing storms.
