Welcome to early June in Jackson Hole! This week will bring a bit of everything: the first few days stay on the cool side (highs around 60°F) with some clouds and even a light shower midweek, but a notable warming trend arrives toward the weekend. By Thursday and beyond, sunshine and warmer afternoons will make it feel much more like summer. Overall, we’re transitioning from spring-like conditions early in the week to pleasantly warm, dry weather by the weekend – great news for our landscaping schedules.

Weekly Terrain Conditions

Early-week moisture and cool overnight lows will keep the ground soft and damp to start the week. Light rain around midweek, combined with nights dipping into the 30s–40s °F, means soils won’t dry out quickly Monday through Wednesday. Please be gentle with turf during this period – heavy equipment or mowing on soggy ground could leave ruts. The good news: from Thursday onward, rising temperatures and stronger sun will accelerate drying each day. Lawns and fields should firm up nicely by late week. By the weekend, you can expect much drier, sturdier terrain, making it easier to resume regular mowing schedules and support equipment without sinking.

Also, as the ground dries out, be ready to adjust irrigation – the latter half of the week will start to demand a bit more water as the sun and warmth kick in.

Forecast This Week

⛅️ Monday, June 2nd: Mostly cloudy and cool. High around 60°F, low near 38°F. Winds are light (about 5 mph). No significant precipitation – the day stays dry, but the ground will remain soft from cool temperatures and prior moisture.

☁️ Tuesday, June 3rd: Increasing clouds. High 62°F, low ~40°F. A calm morning with a light breeze 2–6 mph in the afternoon. Generally dry during the day; a slight chance of a few light showers developing by late evening or overnight.

🌧️ Wednesday, June 4th: High 61°F, low 42°F. Expect light rain showers around the daytime hours (totaling only about 0.1″ of precipitation). Winds remain gentle at 5–6 mph. The periodic rain will keep soil surfaces wet and soft – plan for a damp work day and wear boots.

⛅️ Thursday, June 5th: High around 66°F, low 45°F. Morning clouds give way to more sun by afternoon. Only a very slight chance of any leftover sprinkle early; otherwise no rain. Winds 2–5 mph. With warmer temps and some sun, turf and soil will begin firming up – the start of better traction underfoot.

🌤 Friday, June 6th: High near 70°F, low about 47°F. Light morning winds becoming a gentle 5 mph breeze later. No precipitation expected. The ground should be noticeably drier now, and it’s a great day for mowing or any outdoor tasks – comfortable and bright.

☀️ Saturday, June 7th: High around 74°F, low 48°F. Abundant sunshine with just a few passing clouds, and only a very light breeze at times. No rain – a beautiful day. Soils will be dry and firm; perfect conditions for yard work, landscaping, and checking irrigation systems.

☀️ Sunday, June 8th: High about 75°F, low 49°F. Clear skies dominate. Winds remain minimal (near calm in the morning, 5 mph or less later). It’s the warmest day of the week and dry. Expect excellent field conditions – an ideal finish to the week for any projects or maintenance that require solid footing and warm weather.
