As September begins, Jackson Hole holds onto its summer warmth with sunny, stable days to start the week. By the weekend, storm chances rise and cooler air edges in, a reminder that fall is near. Terrain is here to help you align your projects and plans with these seasonal shifts.

Weekly Terrain Conditions

The ground remains dry and firm through midweek, offering excellent stability for equipment, digging, and foot traffic. Light rain late week could briefly soften exposed areas, but overall conditions stay workable with minimal disruption.

Weekly Temperature Swing

Highs start in the upper 70s to low 80s before gradually easing into the 70s by the weekend. Sunday cools more noticeably, topping out near 67°F. Overnight lows hover in the upper 40s to low 50s, providing comfortable mornings and relief from daytime warmth.

Precipitation Outlook

Dry skies dominate from Monday through Friday, with the first meaningful storm chances arriving Saturday and Sunday. Models show up to 0.34" total for the week, concentrated late, so midweek remains prime for outdoor work.

Cloud Cover and Wind Trends

Clear skies prevail early, with only light haze or clouds late week. Winds remain calm, averaging 3–5 mph with occasional gusts up to 7 mph. No prolonged breezes are expected, though storms Sunday may bring brief bursts.
